Super tasty, great service. Best value for money spot in all of Portland. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to have a great meal without breaking the bank.

This is such a great idea and I can't believe I didn't make it out sooner! The culinary institute students are incredibly friendly and happy to be there. There were a few missteps along the way: our knives were taken away after the first course so we were stuck with just forks from then on, and there was a "mishap" with the bread that led to us never getting bread for the table.
That being said, it's a great value and a lot of really good food for the price! I'd say the biggest highlights of the spring dinner menu were the roasted asparagus, lamb meatballs, and creme brulee. I also tried the soup, salads, cod, and chocolate torte, and all were pretty on par with the quality of food you could get at many other Portland restaurants! I personally liked the lettuce salad but had trouble eating it politely because the leaves were so large (and I had only a fork). -

The hubs and I have been here numerous times for lunch and dinner in a few occasions. The food has mostly been very tasty and delicious. If you've never been here, basically it's a cooking school where the students not only cook your food but also serve you as well. You have to make reservations and there's only set times for both lunch and dinner. You have to be patient with the service because they are learning students. I have to say that for the quality and multi courses of the food, the price is a fraction of what you would pay at any fine dining/upscale restaurant in town!
The split pea soup was surprisingly tasty. It was a bit thick, and the pork belly was delicious! I'm not a fan of split pea, but it was good. The shrimp and grits was delicious! First time having cheesy grits and I'm a fan now!! Everything was cooked perfectly. If plate licking was allowed, I would have done it! Highly recommend this place. Bon Appetit! -

Great experience here for lunch. There is tremendous value to be had. As long as you understand that these are students who are learning and may make a few mistakes you will enjoy yourself immensely. A true bargain with delicious food. Will be back to try it again for dinner.
